Tarkett LVT tiles and planks: glue-down and loose-lay
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is vinyl flooring in planks and tiles, with a realistic wood, stone or concrete finish. It combines the durability and ease of cleaning of vinyl with the aesthetic appeal of a natural material. Its format allows for patterns such as herringbone or strips in different shades, and a damaged tile can be replaced individually, without having to remove the entire floor. Primary selection criterion: the wear layer The number in the name of each range indicates the thickness of the transparent wear layer, in hundredths of a millimetre: • 30 (0.30 mm): domestic use and light commercial traffic • 55 (0.55 mm): offices, hotels, shops, educational premises • 70 (0.70 mm): commercial premises with very heavy footfall Second criterion: the method of installation • Glued: fully bonded to the subfloor. The most stable solution for heavy footfall, wheeled traffic and large areas. • Loose-lay: held in place on the subfloor by weight and friction, without permanent adhesive. Renovation can be carried out without interrupting operations; the tiles can be removed without damaging the subfloor, and access to floors with cabling remains unobstructed. For ships, there is an IMO-approved version. For free-form geometric designs, there is the iD Mixonomi range, available in 10 shapes that can be combined as desired. ARGYNET supplies LVT as a complete system: primer, self-levelling compound and Ceresit adhesive, with technical support for selection and installation. For click-lock LVT without adhesive, see the LVT Click range.
