Geosynthetics

Geosynthetics are never visible once the project has been handed over, and that is precisely why they must not fail. A geotextile that clogs up or a dimpled drainage membrane that does not allow filtration allows water to put pressure on the waterproofing, and damage occurs in places that can no longer be easily repaired. That is why the selection process begins with the function required by the design, not with weight or price: separation, filtration, drainage, waterproofing, protection or soil reinforcement in accordance with EN ISO 10318. Each layer of the cross-section serves one of these functions, and omitting one compromises all the others.
