Commercial flooring and specialist finishes

A commercial floor rarely fails because of the covering. It fails because of whatever lies beneath: moisture in the screed, irregularities that ‘show through’ to the surface, adhesive that is unsuitable for the substrate. The result becomes apparent months later, in the form of blistering, raised joints or premature wear. That is why the choice hinges on two factors: the intended use of the space and the preparation of the substrate. Vinyl or linoleum, where hygiene and maintenance are key; LVT, where aesthetics are paramount in high-traffic areas; sports flooring where shock absorption is key, and epoxy flooring where mechanical and chemical loads are present. Primer, self-levelling compound and adhesive are integral parts of the flooring, not mere accessories.
