CERESIT CT 48 Silicone-based Paint

Ceresit CT 48 paint is used to protect façades, concrete structures and interior spaces. It can be applied to mineral substrates (concrete, cement renders, lime plasters). CT 48 can be used to paint Ceresit CT 34, CT 35 and CT 137 mineral-based coatings, Ceresit CT 60, CT 63 and CT 64, the Ceresit CT 72 and CT 73 silicate coatings, the Ceresit CT 174 and CT 175, as well as the silicone-based render Ceresit CT 74, CT 75 and the elastomeric render Ceresit CT 79, which are applied to traditional substrates, within the Ceresit Ceretherm external thermal insulation system using EPS boards. The structure of the coating ensures rapid evaporation of moisture from the substrate whilst simultaneously providing effective protection against substrate moisture and atmospheric humidity. The binder used in CT 48 paint produces a pearlescent effect when the painted surface gets wet.

CT 48 paint has high water vapour permeability with very low water absorption and high resistance to pollutants (Double Dry Technology). CT 48 is particularly recommended for restoration work, refurbishments and textured render, as well as on all surfaces where an aesthetic finish and a durable coating are required. Facades coated with CT 48 can be washed using low-pressure washing equipment. Exposure of the façade to sunlight causes dangerous stresses; therefore, dark colours should only be used in small areas, e.g. architectural details. The paint offers protection against biological contamination, such as fungi, mould or algae, increasing its resistance to their effects.
