Expanded polystyrene (EPS)

Description

FIBRANeps GRAFIT 80 is graphite-filled EPS made from BASF’s NEOPOR®: the graphite granules reflect thermal radiation, giving the material its characteristic grey colour and a significantly lower thermal conductivity of λD 0.030 W/(m·K). Manufactured in accordance with EN 13163, with CE marking and DoP.

The essence of graphite in a comparison — the same compressive strength as white TERMOPOR 80 (CS(10) 80 kPa), but λD 0.030 compared to 0.036: approximately 17 per cent lower thermal conductivity and up to ~17 per cent less thickness for the same thermal resistance. In practice → a thinner external wall insulation, a lighter ETICS system, and easier-to-achieve energy targets. It remains Euroclass E: where non-combustible insulation (A1) is required → stone wool.
