ESHASTICK PG | Self-adhesive bituminous membrane

Specialised bituminous membranes

Description

ESHASTICK PG is a self-adhesive waterproofing membrane made from SBS-modified bitumen, enriched with special self-adhesive additives that allow it to be bonded to a suitably primed substrate without the need for a blowtorch or hot bituminous adhesive.

It features a top coating of coloured mineral granules and a bottom coating of a release-coated silicone-based polyethylene film. It is produced in two reinforcement variants — high-dimensional-stability polyester or glass fibre — with a weight of 3–4 kg/m² in rolls measuring 1.00 × 10 m.

The SBS modification provides flexibility down to -20 °C and elastic recovery of ≥90 per cent, which is retained even after ageing (EN 13398). The water vapour permeability coefficient exceeds 20,000 and the waterproofing performance successfully passes the 2 bar / 72-hour test.

CE certified No. 1020-CPR-010021423 in accordance with EN 13707 (roofs) and EN 13969 (underground structures), with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) available.

The ARGYNET View

The detail makes all the difference — and is often not properly explained to the customer.

ESHASTICK P-P (polyethylene film) is an intermediate layer: a second membrane is required on top, as PE cannot withstand ultraviolet radiation. PG is a ready-to-use top coat — the mineral granules protect the bituminous mix from the sun and ozone, so the membrane remains exposed.

In practice: one pass instead of two, no open flames on site, and the ability to apply it where torches are prohibited — directly onto XPS and polyurethane, on wooden pitched tiled roofs, and on flammable storage facilities.
