KNAUF Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibre Joint Tape for Cement Board

KNAUF Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibre Joint Tape for Cement Board

Joint treatment materials

Description

Special glass tape with alkali-resistant protection for reinforcing the joints of AQUAPANEL cement boards. Designed to withstand the alkaline environment of cement, both internally and externally.

AQUAPANEL joint tape is used to reinforce the joints of AQUAPANEL cement boards (Indoor, Outdoor, Universal), in combination with AQUAPANEL Joint Filler. The alkali-resistant coating on the glass fibre mesh ensures durability in the high pH environment of cementitious materials, whilst its high tensile strength prevents cracking at the joints.

Why use an alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh rather than a standard one:

Cement is alkaline (high pH) — standard (non-alkali-resistant) glass fibre tape degrades over time when in contact with cementitious materials.

Width 100 mm — wider reinforcement, as required for cement board joints (compared to 48–50 mm for plasterboard tapes).

System: to be used only with AQUAPANEL Joint Filler — not with gypsum-based filler.

Suitable for interior and exterior use (walls and ceilings).
