Concrete and mortar admixtures

Description

Special polypropylene (PP) fibres, 18 mm in length. They are added to the concrete mix (batch) and are used to control and prevent surface cracking (mainly in mixes containing coarse aggregates), with the aim, therefore, of drastically limiting the formation of hairline cracks and micro-cracks that typically occur due to plastic (hydraulic) shrinkage and during the drying contraction phase. Furthermore, to increase cohesion, as well as resistance to surface stresses and impact resistance (localised). Suitable for industrial/stamped floors and concrete floors in general, improvement of the properties of unreinforced concrete and for the production of precast concrete elements.

Overview

Key Features

- Crack Control: Used to prevent the formation of capillary cracks (micro-cracks) caused by plastic shrinkage (when concrete dries rapidly during the setting phase).

- Industrial & Stamped Floors: These are essential for large-area floors to improve durability and the final appearance.

- Precast Elements: These are used in the production of concrete products to increase the cohesion of the mix during demoulding.

- Unreinforced Concrete: These improve the properties of structures where there is no traditional reinforcement (rebar).
