Concrete and mortar admixtures

Description

Sintoplast is a liquid emulsion of very fine particles consisting of special polymeric resins (SBR-based / styrene, butadiene and rubber), used primarily to enhance adhesion. Mortars and cement-based mixtures containing Sintoplast ensure increased adhesion between new and old concrete, new and new concrete, and old and old concrete. It is resistant to the constant presence of water, high and/or low temperatures, fluctuating weather conditions, as well as oils and fuels, most acids and other common corrosive agents. Thanks to its strong adhesive and elastic properties, and given that the water-to-cement ratio is reduced, it significantly minimises shrinkage and the risk of cracking. It provides additional flexibility and generally contributes to the production of mortars with improved properties and performance.

Overview

Key Features

- Superior Adhesion: Dramatically increases the bonding capacity of mortars, causing them to ‘suck’ onto existing concrete, bricks or stone. It is the ideal solution for bonding old and new concrete.

- Elasticity & Flexibility: Transforms rigid cementitious mixtures into elastic ones, allowing them to absorb thermal expansion and contraction without cracking.

- Waterproofing: Creates a denser and less absorbent surface, offering additional protection against moisture in cement screeds and renders.

- Abrasion resistance: Significantly improves the hardness of the finished surface, making it resistant to wear and mechanical stress (ideal for floors).

- Workability: Acts as a plasticiser, making the ‘mix’ more pliable and easier to apply, without the need for excessive water.
