Fibrous insulation

Description

Aluminosilicate ceramic fibre is a flexible thermal insulation blanket made from ceramic fibres, supplied in roll form, designed for applications involving extreme temperatures where conventional mineral wool is insufficient. With a classification temperature of 1260 °C and a continuous operating temperature of 1050 °C, it combines non-combustibility, low thermal conductivity and high thermal shock resistance, with a low density (128 kg/m³).

ARGYNET LAB: Ceramic wool is the material of choice where temperatures exceed the limits of mineral wool. Whilst stone wool has a fibre softening point of around 1000 °C, ceramic wool is rated at 1260 °C and operates continuously up to 1050 °C — which is why it is chosen for insulating combustion chambers, flues, furnaces and industrial equipment. The flexible roll form allows it to be applied to pipework and complex geometries.

At ARGYNET, we advise on the choice of thickness based on the thermal profile and the safe application of the material

Overview
