ESHATAPE | Self-adhesive waterproofing tapes
Specialised bituminous membranesDescription
ESHATAPE is a state-of-the-art self-adhesive bituminous waterproofing tape, made from SBS-modified bitumen enriched with special self-adhesive additives that allow it to bond to a suitably prepared substrate without the use of a blowtorch.
It features a highly flexible and durable polyester-aluminium top coating (silver or terracotta) and a peel-off silicone-coated polyethylene backing. It is a non-reinforced tape, 1.5 mm thick, which exhibits excellent elasticity even at -40 °C and has an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 80 °C.
It is specifically designed to protect and provide waterproofing for surfaces exposed to solar radiation — the aluminium coating provides high resistance to UV and ozone. Available in four widths (10, 20, 30, 50 cm) in 10-metre rolls, suitable for everything from fine cracks to wide construction joints.
CE certified, flame spread class B2 (DIN 4102).
The ARGYNET View
ESHATAPE is not a ‘layering’ product — it is a product of detail. And it is in the details that large-scale waterproofing systems fail.
A 500 m² flat roof may be perfectly waterproofed yet still leak from a chimney, from the joint between the slates and the brickwork, or from where a pipe meets the concrete. You don’t tackle these with a roll of membrane and a blowtorch — you use tape. ESHATAPE is the material the tradesperson keeps in their van for anything that can’t be sorted any other way: joints between dissimilar materials, roof windows, manhole repairs, even ship holds.
Two key advantages over cheaper tapes: resistance to -40 °C (standard tapes harden and peel off in winter) and the aluminium coating that makes it weather-resistant — no cover is needed.
