Geomembranes

Description

Virgin high-density polyethylene with ≥97 per cent pure polymer and ≤3 per cent soot, antioxidants and thermal stabilisers — free from plasticisers or fillers that migrate over time. This is why its performance remains consistent for decades.

It is produced using extrusion technology under continuous quality control, in accordance with national and international standards. The ARGYNET View

The surface finish is not an aesthetic choice — it is a structural requirement. On slopes with a gradient greater than 1:3, the smooth membrane does not generate sufficient friction with the overlying material and slips. In such cases, a rough or textured surface is required.

At the base, where there is no shear stress, a smooth finish is sufficient and more cost-effective. Many projects are constructed with a smooth finish throughout and fail on the slopes two winters later.

The second thing that sets this material apart: it contains no plasticisers. In cheaper membranes, the plasticisers gradually migrate, causing the material to harden and crack — usually after the warranty has expired.
