Tarkett sports flooring joint tapes | Omnisports heat-sealing

In a sports floor, the joints are subjected to stresses that no other floor has to withstand: braking, changes of direction, falls and the movement of equipment. That is why Tarkett’s vinyl sports flooring rolls are heat-sealed with a cord made of the same material, so that the court becomes a continuous surface, with no raised edges, no joints that collect dust and sweat, and no areas where shoes get caught. The strips are 5 mm in diameter for the thicker, foam-backed Omnisports and PurePlay models, and 4 mm for the thinner Speed and Compact models. They come in 21 NCS-coded colours, designed to match the colour of the court.

At ARGYNET, we provide the lacing code along with the quote for the sports flooring: 5 mm from this range for PurePlay, and 4 mm from the vinyl edging range for Omnisports Speed. We calculate the quantity in 40-metre reels based on the cutting plan for the rolls. Welding takes place 24 hours after installation, with grooving down to the foam and hot air at 350–400 °C. The court lines are painted after welding.
