Subfloor preparation and flooring adhesives

Description

CERESIT R 766 is the first material in any self-levelling floor system: it seals the substrate, controls absorbency and provides adhesion for the self-levelling compound or the subsequent adhesive. It is a concentrate and is diluted with water depending on the substrate: 1:4 for cement screeds, levelling compounds and plasterboard, 1:1 on concrete, tiles, stone, asphalt and wooden boards, whilst on epoxy or polyurethane waterproofing membranes it is applied undiluted. It is solvent-free and withstands temperatures up to +50 °C, so it can also be applied over underfloor heating.

At ARGYNET, R 766 is the preferred primer for use beneath the vinyl, LVT, linoleum and glued wooden floors that we recommend. On absorbent substrates, CN 76, DA or DH Maxi can be applied immediately, saving time on site. However, it is not a moisture barrier: where a CM reading indicates residual moisture, apply the epoxy CERESIT R 755 first, followed by R 766 undiluted.

Overview

Key Features

• Concentrated: dilute up to 1:4, coverage up to ~300 m² per 10 kg container

• For absorbent and non-absorbent substrates: concrete, cement screeds, tiles, stone, timber, plasterboard

• Self-levelling compound with no waiting time on absorbent cementitious substrates, ~30′ on non-absorbent ones

• Solvent-free: GISCODE D 1, EMICODE EC 1 PLUS

• Suitable for underfloor heating, resistant up to +50 °C

• Suitable for use under dispersion-based adhesives (~2 h) and PUR adhesives (~12 h)

• Not a vapour barrier: R 755 must be applied first where residual moisture is present
