Tarkett underlays for vinyl, LVT and linoleum

The underlay beneath a vinyl or LVT floor solves one of three common problems on a building site: noise, damp or a poor subfloor. For noise, Tarkett has underlays that reduce impact sound transmitted to the floor below and noise within the room. Elafono is made from natural cork, for linoleum and vinyl rolls, with a ΔLw of up to 15 dB. Tarkomfort Premium is a 1 mm XPS underlay for click LVT, with ΔLw of 18 dB and compressive strength > 400 kPa. Tarkomfort Self-Adhesive is a self-adhesive underlay for glued LVT, ready for use immediately. Tarkomousse is a PVC foam underlay for wet areas, with ΔLw of 19 dB. For damp conditions, Tarkolay and Tarkolay HO are glass fibre underlays with PVC coating and 0.3 mm raised ridges on the underside. They are laid loose on concrete or timber with residual moisture and allow the subfloor to ‘breathe’ through a ventilated skirting. Tarkolay Sport serves the same purpose beneath Omnisports sports surfaces. For poor substrates, Tarkoflat Loose-Lay covers old flooring, old vinyl or timber without the need for stripping or levelling.

In the refurbishment of occupied buildings, loose-lay underlays can be removed at the end of their service life without causing damage to the subfloor.
