Cementitious waterproofing mortars

Description

CERESIT CL 152 is a waterproofing membrane with a thermoplastic elastomer core and a polypropylene fabric coating on both sides. Width 120 mm, total thickness 0.66 mm, supplied in rolls of 10 or 50 metres.

It is installed between the two layers of the waterproofing membrane: the first layer presses the tape into place, whilst the second layer on top encases it. It reinforces the CL 50, CL 51, CR 166 and CR 90 systems precisely where they are most vulnerable — at wall-floor corners, expansion joints and terminations. It withstands temperatures from −30 to +90 °C and chemical stress. Below are the installation details that determine whether it will work.

Waterproofing systems do not fail at the surfaces — they fail at the joints. It is the cheapest component of the system and the most critical. In an expansion joint, it is pressed into the gap, not simply laid flat on top.
