- Clean the surface of dust, dirt and other substances that reduce adhesion. Remove any loose mechanical particles. Cement screeds and concrete screeds must be fully cured before applying CERESIT CM 16. Absorbent substrates must be primed and left to dry. Surface irregularities of up to 5 mm can be filled the day before using CM 16.

- Pour the contents of the CERESIT CM 16 pack into a precisely measured quantity of clean water (5.25 to 5.75 litres of water per 25-kilogramme bag) and mix with a low-speed drill until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. Leave for 2 minutes and then stir again.

- Apply CERESIT CM 16 tile adhesive to the substrate using a suitable notched trowel. For internal use, the tile adhesive must cover at least 65 per cent of the back of the tiles. For outdoor use, the ‘back-to-back’ application method should be followed to ensure that at least 90 per cent of the back of the tiles is covered. Lay the tiles only whilst the CM 16 adhesive is still workable.
