CERESIT CT 74 | Silicone-based finishing render

Ceresit CT 74 is a silicone-acrylic decorative render with a ‘pebble’ texture, reinforced with Fibre Force. Double Dry technology combines very low water absorption with high water vapour permeability (class V1, Sd<0.14 m) — the surface dries more quickly after rain and ‘breathes’ better, reducing the build-up of pollutants and biological contamination.

ARGYNET LAB: In the Ceretherm range of topcoats, CT 74 is positioned one step above the basic acrylic CT 60: it belongs to the same ETA certification family (9 Ceretherm systems), but contains silicone in its formulation, which significantly improves water vapour permeability — class V1 compared to V2 for the CT 60. This translates into better ‘breathability’ of the wall, a crucial feature for façades with high humidity, north-facing orientations, or colder climates where water vapour condensation is a common problem. Upgrading from CT 60 to CT 74 requires no changes to the rest of the system (same primers, same adhesives). At ARGYNET, we recommend this whenever the façade’s breathability and resistance to pollution are a priority for the client.
