Subfloor preparation and flooring adhesives

Description

CERESIT DA is the levelling compound that gives the finished floor the flat, smooth base it requires. It is applied to cement screeds, concrete, tiles, natural stone and mosaic; it is a self-levelling compound that covers thicknesses of 2–10 mm in a single application. It is walkable in approximately 12 hours and ready for further covering in approximately 24 hours for thicknesses up to 3 mm, or in 48–72 hours for greater thicknesses. With a CT-C25-F7 and a bond strength of 1.5 MPa, it withstands castor-fitted chairs in accordance with EN 12529 from a thickness of 2 mm, and with a temperature resistance of up to +50 °C, it can also be laid over underfloor heating.

At ARGYNET, DA is the standard levelling underlay for vinyl rolls, LVT, linoleum, carpet and glued parquet in schools, offices, clinics and homes. Thin resilient floor coverings ‘replicate’ every imperfection in the subfloor, so a good levelling job is evident in the final result. Before applying DA, always use CERESIT R 766 primer and carry out a CM moisture test. For thicknesses over 10 mm or for levelling, switch to CERESIT CN 76, and for heavy-duty applications, use DH Maxi. DA is neither a final finish nor a cementitious screed, and must not be applied in damp or outdoor areas.
