Subfloor preparation and flooring adhesives

Description

CERESIT P 625 is a two-component polyurethane adhesive for the direct bonding of timber flooring. As it contains no water, it does not cause the timber to swell, and as it contains no solvents, it leaves no odours in the room. Curing is a chemical process and occurs regardless of the adhesive’s thickness, so it compensates for minor irregularities in the subfloor without compromising strength. It bonds all types of parquet: mosaic and vertical lamellas, 10 mm solid wood, solid wood planks, pre-polished (1-strip, 2-strip, 3-strip), wood blocks, wide planks, laminate, as well as LVT and Ceresit substrates. It can be applied to cement screeds, dry construction, V100 chipboard and OSB, Ceresit levelling compounds and, after cleaning, to tiles, stone and mosaic without a primer.

At ARGYNET, P 625 is the adhesive we recommend for all Tarkett pre-polished glued parquet, Segno herringbone flooring and installations over underfloor heating, where the adhesive must withstand temperature and thermal expansion cycles. Mixing takes place in the same container; the mixture remains workable for approximately 60 minutes and the flooring is laid immediately, with no open time. Before applying the adhesive, the subfloor is sanded, swept clean and primed with CERESIT R 766. The parquet must not be walked on for 24 hours, and sanding or finishing must also be carried out after 24 hours.
