Liquid-applied membranes

Description

EshaDesmoseal is a new-generation, single-component elastomeric liquid-applied coating for horizontal and vertical surfaces, based on elastomeric silane resins. It cures on contact with air and forms an elastic, cohesive mass with high water vapour permeability — 30 g/m²/h in accordance with ISO 9932.

The final coating has a brilliant white colour that remains unchanged over time: it does not yellow and is not affected by airborne particles or dirt. The elongation at break exceeds 300 per cent, with a tensile strength of 2.0 N/mm² and a Shore A hardness of 50.

It holds European Technical Assessment ETA-18/0654, issued by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) in accordance with ETAG 005 and EAD-030019-00-0402, with the notified certification body 0761-CPR MPA Braunschweig. It also bears the CE marking in accordance with EN 1504-2:2004.

The ARGYNET View:

In a catalogue of eleven liquid-applied membranes, this is the only one with a genuine European Technical Assessment. ESHADESMOLAST declares ETAG 005 classes (P4, zone S) but without an ETA number. Here, there is a number, there is DIBt approval, there is a notified body — and there is the figure that settles the debate on public works projects: W3, with a 25-year service life.

Along with the W3, specifications are provided that no competing certificate has: all substrate slopes (S1 to S4), both climate zones (M and S), wind pressure resistance in excess of 50 kPa, and a surface temperature range from -30°C to +80°C.
