Joint sealing and waterstops

Description

ESHAPRIMER 21 is a single-component polyurethane protective varnish, designed to enhance the adhesion of polymer sealants to all porous substrates. It is a clear, yellowish liquid with a density of 0.95 ± 0.05 g/cm³ and a Brookfield viscosity of just 110 cPs at 25°C — meaning it penetrates the porous substrate rather than forming a surface film that would act as a release layer. After polymerisation, it forms a uniform, hard yet elastic membrane. It is used as a primer prior to polyurethane, acrylic and hybrid sealants, as a primer for polyurethane, acrylic, hybrid and epoxy coatings, as anti-corrosion protection for metal surfaces, and to enhance the adhesive properties of ESHATAPE bituminous tapes.

The ARGYNET View:

The primer is the most underestimated cost in a waterproofing project — and the most expensive when omitted. ESHAPRIMER 21 is not an optional addition to ESHAPOLYSEAL 1K: the sealant’s Technical Data Sheet and Declaration of Performance specify it as a required primer. Sell them together, or you risk being held responsible for any failure.
