Geogrids

Description

Three-dimensional aggregate encasement with a certified service life of 100 years — a cellular system made from continuous polyethylene sheets without any welds, installed on-site in a honeycomb structure. Filled with soil or aggregates, it encases the material and prevents erosion on slopes, in channels and on embankments.

The vertical orientation of the honeycomb keeps the aggregates in place even during heavy rainfall, drastically reducing maintenance requirements. The strips are available in smooth or textured finishes, perforated or solid, and are resistant to UV radiation, frost and harsh environments.

The ARGYNET View

The absence of welds is not a minor production detail — it is the point of failure that is eliminated. In conventional geocells, the seam is the weak link under load.

And the practical benefit is measured in logistics: up to 5× greater coverage per roll and 35% more product per lorry. On difficult-to-access slopes, where every journey counts, this is half the job. In the manufacturer’s real-world applications, cost savings reached 30 per cent.

Where it performs best: dry, unplanted ground with gentle, standard gradients. Where the slope is to be planted, geotextile is the right choice.
