NOBLE WOOD | Pre-polished oak parquet in a basket-weave and square pattern

Noble presents the classic parquet patterns – basket weave and big block – in a contemporary form as pre-polished planks with a 2-lock joint. Each 16 mm plank features a pre-printed pattern, a 3.5 mm layer of fine-grained oak and a four-layer construction for stability. It can be laid as a floating or glued-down floor, just like a simple click-lock floor, without the need for on-site assembly of small pieces, sanding or varnishing. Five designs are finished in Proteco Hardwax Oil, the Classic in matt Natura and the Retro in lacquer. The shades range from the bleached Scandinavia to the almost black Wasa.

We recommend this when the architect wants a traditional parquet design without the cost and time involved in traditional installation: neoclassical flats, renovations of old buildings, kitchens and dining rooms with character, boutique hotels and restaurants. The ‘big block’ pattern, particularly in grey (Bronx), is ideal for lofts and industrial spaces. The wicker finish lends a classic feel to wall coverings and panelling. For lower maintenance than oil-based finishes, the Classic in matt Natura or the Retro with lacquer are the most practical options.
