Tarkett timber stair finishes | Solid oak stair nosings and treads

When parquet flooring continues up the staircase, the edge of each step is the most exposed part: it is walked on, knocked against and visible from a distance. Tarkett’s stair nosings are made of solid oak, the same material as the pre-polished parquet, so that the staircase blends seamlessly with the floor. The 60 × 26 profile clicks directly onto the 14 mm plank using a 2-lock system and finishes the tread with a rounded edge. The 66 × 20 profile is connected to a 13–14 mm plank or landing and also serves as a landing finish where the flooring ends above the first step. They are fixed without visible screws and can withstand heavy footfall.

At ARGYNET, we recommend them when a pre-polished 13–14 mm Tarkett parquet (Shade, Grace, Pure, Heritage) is extended onto an internal staircase in a house, maisonette or shop. The treads and risers are clad with the same boards and the edge is finished with the profile. The unstained version of the 60 × 26 can be treated on-site with oil or varnish to match oiled or specially finished floors exactly. Before cutting, the profiles are left in the room for at least 48 hours to acclimatise. The staircase is finished with Clipstar skirting boards in the same shade.
