NWR-100 | Geotextile made from 100% recycled polyester
GeotextilesDescription
The only polyester product in the range, made from 100 per cent recycled fibres: low creep under permanent load, where polypropylene deforms over time. Non-woven, needle-punched, UV-stabilised.
Polyester has a higher modulus of elasticity and a significantly higher melting point than polypropylene — meaning it maintains its performance under constant load for decades and withstands thermal stress better. In hydraulic applications, it covers water flow rates of 20 to 180 l/m²·s and pore sizes of 50 to 130 μm. The manufacturer recommends it in combination with PNW for pipe protection.
The ARGYNET View
Polyester or polypropylene? The answer isn’t the price — it’s the environment and the load.
PES when there is a permanent load (reinforced earth walls, embankments) or thermal stress. PP for use in contact with concrete, calcareous soils or lime-stabilised sub-bases.
