In hospitals, clinics, laboratories and commercial kitchens, vinyl flooring does not stop at the wall: it rises 8–15 cm up the wall, mounted on a curved profile, so that the corner has no joint where dirt, water and germs can accumulate. The skirting cap is the final element of this detail. It covers the cut edge of the vinyl flooring against the wall, seals it and creates a clean line. Tarkett offers it in three versions: CAP 1, a semi-flexible co-extruded profile, which is economical and easy to fit, and is fixed using acrylic contact adhesive; CAP 2, a rigid, self-adhesive version that is installed without adhesive by simply peeling off the backing paper; and CAP 3, a two-part system where the base is glued to the wall and the cover snaps into place from above, ensuring perfect hygiene with no visible adhesive.
