QDRAIN C20 65 10F | 20 mm drainage geosynthetic
DrainageDescription
TeMa’s Q-Drain® is a drainage geosynthetic with a three-dimensional core made from extruded polypropylene monofilaments, heat-bonded to two non-woven geotextiles — one on each side. The C series has a pyramidal (double-sided) core geometry and a very high void ratio.
The key difference from an HDPE dimpled drainage membrane is its behaviour under load. The monofilament core deforms elastically rather than collapsing: with an elongation of 80/80%, it follows settlements of the subgrade without breaking, whilst maintaining a measurable flow rate even at 100 kPa. This is why it is the material of choice for landfill sites and embankments, where loads and deformations are high.
Total thickness 20 mm, weight 850 g/m², tensile strength of the geocomposite 13/13 kN/m. It performs four functions simultaneously: drainage, separation, filtration and protection.
Overview
Key Features
Drainage core
- Extruded polypropylene monofilaments, three-dimensional pyramidal structure
- Core weight 650 g/m² ±10%
- Very high void ratio — designed for high flow rates
Double filter
- Two non-woven polypropylene geotextiles, 100 g/m² ±5% each
- Water flow rate 6,095 l/min·m² · permeability 1 sec⁻¹
- AOS 0.3 mm (US Sieve 50) — fine-particle retention
- Filtration on both sides: operates regardless of the direction of installation
