SEGNO WOOD | Pre-polished herringbone oak parquet

Segno is Tarkett’s herringbone range: short oak planks measuring 600 × 120 mm, available in left- and right-hand versions, forming the classic herringbone pattern. Each plank is 11 mm thick, with a 3.5 mm layer of fine-grained oak on a stable two-layer plywood core, a brushed surface, a mini-bevel on all four sides and a Proteco Hardwax Oil finish. It is supplied ready-to-lay from the factory, requiring no on-site sanding or oiling. It is laid using an adhesive and is compatible with underfloor heating.

Herringbone is the most sought-after pattern for the renovation of neoclassical and urban flats. Segno makes it simple: pre-polished planks of consistent quality, which are laid in a single stage and are ready for immediate use. The five shades range from the bleached ‘Lime Stone’ to the dark ‘Old Brown’, which suits spaces with panelling and period features. Glued-down installation provides a solid, ‘stable’ underfoot feel and better performance over underfloor heating. However, it requires a level, dry subfloor and an experienced fitter to lay out the pattern.
