Expanded polystyrene (EPS)

Description

FIBRANeps TERMOPOR 100 is white, high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS): a lightweight thermal insulation material containing 98 per cent entrapped air, in accordance with EN 13163, with CE marking and a Declaration of Performance (DoP). It combines improved thermal conductivity λD 0.034 W/(m·K) with higher compressive strength CS(10) 100 kPa — the thermal insulation core for applications with greater mechanical demands.

Compared to TERMOPOR 80, the 100 model offers two improvements at once: a lower λ (0.034 vs 0.036) and a higher CS(10) (100 vs 80 kPa). In practice → less thickness for the same thermal resistance and safer performance under finishes/loads. It remains a Euroclass E organic material: it is installed where the fire compartment allows; where non-combustible insulation (A1) is required → stone wool, whilst for an even lower λ → the GRAFIT range.
