WG High Flow | Woven Reinforcement and Separation Geotextile
GeotextilesDescription
The only woven product in the range — and the only one that truly reinforces: tensile strength of 42 to 105 kN/m at low elongation, to increase the bearing capacity of weak soils. Black woven geotextile made from 100% polypropylene strips, stabilised against UV radiation.
This is where the function changes. Because the structure is woven, the material develops strength at low deformation — it does not merely separate, but reduces the required thickness of the base course for the same bearing capacity. Static puncture resistance CBR 5 to 12 kN, weights 210 to 500 g/m², roll width 3.81 to 5.30 m and water flow rate 40 l/m²·s.
The ARGYNET View
The difference between woven and non-woven geotextiles is not their strength — it is at what level of deformation that strength is exhibited.
Woven geotextiles develop strength at low elongation, which is why it acts as reinforcement: the soil does not have time to settle before the material reacts. Non-woven geotextiles elongate considerably before reacting — but they filter significantly better.
In practice: weak soil under load → woven geotextile. Filtration without clogging → non-woven geotextile. On soft clay subsoil with a coarse-grained base, both are often required.
