CERESIT CT 180 MW STRONG FIX | Stone wool adhesive mortar

Ceresit CT 180 is a cementitious mortar specifically designed for fixing stone wool boards in external thermal insulation systems (ETICS), as well as for the insulation of garage ceilings. It forms part of the Ceresit Ceretherm Wool systems. Unlike adhesives for EPS/XPS, CT 180 requires an additional priming coat to be applied to the board prior to the main bonding process, to ensure full adhesion to the fibrous substrate of stone wool.

ARGYNET LAB: Stone wool does not bond in the same way as EPS — its fibrous, ‘rough’ surface requires an adhesive with a different composition and application technique. CT 180 solves precisely this problem: a first priming coat ‘fills’ the surface of the board, and the main adhesive is then applied on top (a strip along the edges + dots in the centre, coverage ≥40%). The result is certified within the Ceretherm Wool system with a fire resistance rating of up to A1.
