Geotextiles

Description

Five standard grades ranging from 150 to 500 g/m², with nominal values per grade — choose exactly what you are ordering. Non-woven geotextile made from 100 per cent polyester (PET) fibres of irregular cut and length, without chemical or thermal treatment — a structure that provides high porosity and rapid water drainage.

The DTF 150, 200, 300, 400 and 500 cover an equivalent pore size range from 70 to 45 μm and a CBR static puncture resistance of 300 to 950 N. Expected service life of at least 50 years in natural soils with 4 < pH < 9. Rolls of 2 × 150 m.

The ARGYNET View

The polyester redistributes locally developing stresses and limits settlement — which is why it works in soils with low bearing capacity, where the problem is not strength but uneven settlement.

Two things you need to know before making your choice. Firstly: as the weight increases, O₉₀ and permeability decrease — in other words, the heavier the filter, the finer the filtration but the less water it allows through. Secondly: the range of application is naturally occurring soils with 4 < pH < 9. When in contact with fresh concrete or a calcareous substrate, polypropylene should be selected.
