ESHAHYBRID | Elastomeric hybrid waterproofing compound
Liquid-applied membranesDescription
EshaHybrid is a single-component elastomeric liquid-applied coating for waterproofing, formulated to combine elastomeric aliphatic polyurethane and acrylic polymers. The resulting hydrophobic membrane does not shrink, does not crack and remains elastic across a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +90°C.
The elongation at break reaches 500 per cent with a tensile strength of 4.00 N/mm² and a Shore A hardness of 50. The peel strength is ≥2.3 N/mm² — the highest of any acrylic or hybrid adhesive in the catalogue. It is VOC-free, contains no solvents or free isocyanates, and exhibits excellent adhesion to porous surfaces even without a primer.
It bears the CE mark in accordance with EN 1504-2:2004, certified by the notified body Eurotest Control EAD (N.B. 2085), and has a solar reflectance index (SRI) of 107.
HYBRID resolves the ‘acrylic or polyurethane’ dilemma by combining the best of both. It has 500% elongation — 25% more than the acrylic ACRYCOAT — yet remains water-based, solvent-free and free from isocyanates. In other words, it comes close to the performance of polyurethane without the safety, ventilation and mandatory training requirements associated with isocyanates.
The aliphatic component provides what pure acrylic lacks: zero chalking and no colour change after 2,000 hours of artificial ageing. A flat roof stays white.
And an application that no other material on the market offers: beneath photovoltaic panels, to increase their efficiency. The reflected radiation from the white surface boosts the system’s output. In a flat roof solar project, this transforms waterproofing from a cost into a profitable investment — and it’s a selling point that none of your competitors can match.
⚠️ The key difference from ACRYCOAT that needs to be mentioned: HYBRID requires a dry surface. ACRYCOAT can be applied to a damp surface. For refurbishment work following rain, the acrylic coating is the better choice.
