HERITAGE WOOD | Pre-polished oak parquet with hardwax oil

Heritage is Tarkett’s collection with the most distinctive character: 190 mm wide oak planks, large knots, a deep brushed finish that brings out the wood’s grain, and a Proteco Hardwax Oil finish – that is, oil with hard wax instead of varnish. The feel is that of old, ‘living’ wood. All designs are 14 mm thick with a 3.5 mm solid wood core and feature a 2-lock system. They can be laid as a floating floor or glued down, and are suitable for installation over underfloor heating. The seven shades range from the bleached ‘Old White’ and ‘Lime Stone’ to the almost black ‘Old Brown’ (LRV 11).

We recommend it when the architect is looking for wood with character: listed and neoclassical buildings, stone houses, boutique hotels, restaurants and spaces with an industrial or rustic aesthetic. Oil has a practical advantage over varnish: localised wear and scratches can be repaired by re-oiling the affected area, without having to sand the entire floor. However, it requires regular care using Tarkett’s maintenance products. If the customer wants the same matt finish without the need for oil maintenance, the alternative is Grace with Proteco ExtraMatt.
