Geotextiles

Description

The go-to choice for soil separation and filtration: a range from 80 to 600 g/m² and a CBR strength of up to 7.4 kN — the widest in the range. Non-woven, needle-punched geotextile made from 100 per cent polypropylene fibres, UV-stabilised, covering four of the six functions according to EN ISO 10318 — separation, filtration, reinforcement and corrosion control.

Its mechanical performance includes tensile strength ranging from 6 to 43 kN/m and CBR static puncture resistance ranging from 0.86 to 7.4 kN. Hydraulically, water flow perpendicular to the plane reaches 144 l/m²·s and the characteristic pore size ranges from 90 to 128 μm — a range that covers all soil types.

The ARGYNET View

Polypropylene is not a random choice. It withstands alkaline environments, so it performs well in contact with concrete and calcareous soils, where polyester degrades over time. And because it is manufactured in Greece, delivery times are measured in days rather than weeks of importation — a crucial factor when the construction site is waiting.
