SINMAST RM 22 | Epoxy protective coating for food-grade areas

SINMAST RM 22 is a coloured, gloss, two-component, solvent-free epoxy coating with a solids content of over 92.8 per cent. It is certified for use in food processing and packaging facilities and for contact with drinking water. In the MIL-STD-810B test, it showed no fungal growth. It creates a watertight, joint-free surface that is easy to clean and disinfect. It is resistant to seawater, mineral oils, petrol, alcohols and dilute acids. When mixed 1:1 with quartz sand, it forms a self-levelling compound 1–3 mm thick.

We recommend it wherever the floor is subject to hygiene inspections: cheese dairies, wineries, olive oil mills, bottling plants, cold stores and pharmaceutical warehouses. The same material can also be used to coat walls that are washed frequently, so that the floor and walls form a single system. It is also one of the few epoxy paints recommended for the internal lining of swimming pools, fountains and drinking water tanks. It can be applied from +8 °C and withstands operating temperatures from −10 to +48 °C. It is a rigid system, so for outdoor areas exposed to sunlight it is combined with the SINMAST RM 42 polyurethane topcoat.
