Cementitious waterproofing mortars

Description

VANDEX BB 75 is a single-component cementitious waterproofing render applied to a thickness of 1.5–3 mm thick using a brush or spray, and is effective under both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. It forms a hard, alkali-resistant surface, does not cause efflorescence and allows the concrete to breathe.

It is distinguished by a second function: it protects the reinforcement from corrosion and offers a specified resistance to carbonation — which is why it is classified as R3, a structural repair mortar. Below are the technical specifications, consumption rates per thickness and application conditions.

SUPER is applied into the concrete; BB 75 is applied on top of it. It therefore does two things that SUPER does not: it protects the reinforcement and resists carbonation. When the concrete is old and worn, BB 75 is the right choice.
