Cementitious waterproofing mortars

Description

VANDEX PLUG is a fast-setting, single-component cementitious material that stops the flow of water. It is mixed with water in a ratio of 1 kg to 0.25 litres, stirred for fifteen seconds and sets within thirty.

It is applied by hand, wearing a rubber glove: the paste is pressed into the leak and held in place until it sets. In some cases, it can even be used as a dry powder, pressed directly onto the leak. It also works underwater. Below is the technique that separates success from a waste of material.

Every VANDEX leaflet begins with the same phrase: ‘Active leaks are first sealed with VANDEX PLUG’. It is not a waterproofing product — it is the prerequisite for the rest to work. Without it, waterproofing is applied onto running water.
