Inorganic cement board with a Portland cement core and glass fibre reinforcement mesh on both sides — the reliable substrate for walls and suspended ceilings in areas of constant or high humidity.
AQUAPANEL® Indoor is manufactured entirely from inorganic materials. Unlike plasterboard — even moisture-resistant, impregnated varieties — it does not swell, rot or harbour mould when in contact with water. This makes it the ideal technical substrate for bathrooms, shower rooms and any application where large-format or heavy tiles are to be laid.
Why cement board rather than moisture-resistant board:
Moisture-resistant (green) board slows down moisture absorption; AQUAPANEL is 100% water-resistant as a material, because its core is cementitious, not gypsum-based. For areas subject to constant exposure to water (shower rooms, spas, commercial kitchens) or for heavy/large tiles, it is the technically correct choice of substrate.
