KNAUF Type H2 12.5 mm | Moisture-resistant plasterboard

Structural boards for dry construction

Description

The classic ‘green’ moisture-resistant plasterboard: type H2 in accordance with EN 520, with reduced water absorption for interior spaces with moderate humidity — bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms.

Knauf’s Type H2 moisture-resistant plasterboard has a specially treated core and facing that limit water absorption, for use in interiors with high levels of water vapour. It offers excellent flatness and stability, making it a suitable substrate for paint or light tiling in areas not subject to direct water spray. It can also be applied as a dry plaster to existing walls.

Which damp-proofing should I choose:

H2 provides protection against moderate damp — it is not waterproof. Depending on your requirements:

Type H2 → bathroom and kitchen walls/ceilings, away from direct contact with water.

DFH2 → when you need fire resistance as well as moisture resistance.

Diamant DFH1IR → high humidity (H1 class, ≤2.5%) + durability.

AQUAPANEL → shower cubicles/permanently damp areas/spas + waterproofing.

GUARDEX / Glasroc X → exterior / façades.
