Structural boards for dry construction

Description

Knauf’s leading plasterboard: a high-density board that combines fire resistance, sound insulation, strength and H1-class moisture resistance in a single material — for interior constructions with the most demanding specifications.

Knauf Diamant DFH1IR is a specialised moisture-resistant and fire-rated plasterboard with increased surface hardness, used as a facing in dry construction systems for interior applications with simultaneous requirements for fire protection, sound insulation, rigidity and moisture resistance. The high-density, elastic gypsum core enhances acoustic performance, whilst the hard surface withstands mechanical stress and allows for increased suspension loads and greater wall heights.

What does ‘DFH1IR’ mean?:

In accordance with standard EN 520, the five-digit code summarises five distinct properties in a single board:

D — controlled, high density (mass → sound insulation)

F — improved core integrity in fire (reinforced with glass fibres)

H1 — reduced water absorption, superior impregnation class (≤2.5%)

I — increased surface hardness (impact/knock resistance)

R — increased mechanical strength (bending/fracture)

That is why Diamant is literally ‘a material for all requirements’.

Overview

Key Features

- One material for all requirements — fire resistance + sound insulation + durability + moisture resistance.

- Greater wall heights thanks to high mechanical strength (Type R).

- Sturdy, hard surfaces (Type I) — resistance to impact and wear.

- Increased load-bearing capacity for heavy elements.

- Moisture-resistant H1 core — suitable for moderately damp environments.

- Structural integrity in fire — non-combustible material (A2-s1,d0 according to EN 13501-1).

- High sound insulation thanks to a high-density elastic gypsum core.

- Easy to work with and bend at a thickness of 12.5 mm.
