Knauf CW stud 50x50x0.6 mm
Metal profiles for dry constructionDescription
C-section steel stud for the construction of plasterboard walls. Manufactured to EN 14195, whilst the 0.6 mm thickness also complies with the stringent DIN 18182 T1 standard — the guarantee of professional quality in dry construction frames.
Knauf C-section (CW) profiles are the vertical load-bearing elements of the stud frame: they are installed within the UW tracks, and the plasterboard is screwed onto them. They are mainly used in walls, but also as load-bearing elements in free-hanging suspended ceilings. Electrical cables are routed through the factory-drilled circular holes or H-shaped holes.
Correct use & selection:
CW = vertical stud (fits inside the UW track). Pair of the same width: CW 50 → UW 50.
Single or double: for high walls or increased structural requirements, two CWs placed back-to-back and bolted together form an H-shaped cross-section.
Rib quality: 0.6 mm (DIN 18182 T1) is the professional standard — it is superior to the economy 0.5 mm in terms of strength.
