Stone wool insulation

Description

The FIBRANgeo B-040 flexible stone wool board is a natural, inorganic, fibrous mineral wool thermal insulation material, manufactured in accordance with EN 13162. It combines, in a single layer, superior thermal insulation (λD = 0.034 W/mK), fire resistance class A1 and high sound absorption (αw = 1.00 – Class A), for masonry, dry construction systems and roofs.

ARGYNET LAB: At ARGYNET, we do not simply supply stone wool — we substantiate the choice. FIBRANgeo B-040 performs correctly only within a complete building system (framework – insulation – cladding), and our team supports engineers, architects and contractor crews in devising the appropriate solution by application.

Overview

Key Features

- Excellent thermal insulation — declared λD = 0.034 W/(mK)

- Non-combustible material — reaction to fire class A1 (EN 13501-1) with high fire resistance

- High sound absorption & sound insulation — αw = 1.00 (Class A), NRC = 0.95

- Excellent vapour permeability (μ = 1) — dehumidification of building elements & passive ventilation

- Water-repellent & non-hygroscopic (WS < 1 kg/m², WL(P) < 3 kg/m²)

- Fibre softening point > 1000 °C — protection of the structural core in the event of a fire

- Dimensional stability, easy to cut and install

- Natural, inorganic, odourless, chemically inert and recyclable (EUCEB certification)

Available coatings (on one side): AL (aluminium foil reinforced with glass mesh) · YM (black glass fibre) · YA (white glass fibre) · XA (Kraft paper). The uncoated product complies with the stated technical specifications.
