FIBRANgeo B-050 | Stone wool for masonry, roofing and dry construction
Stone wool insulationDescription
FIBRANgeo B-050 flexible stone wool board is a natural, inorganic, fibrous mineral wool thermal insulation material in accordance with EN 13162. The densest board in the range combines superior thermal insulation (λD = 0.034 W/mK), fire class A1 and high sound absorption (αw = 1.00 – Class A), with increased mechanical stability and available in thicknesses from 30 mm.
ARGYNET LAB: The B-050 is the densest version in the range: it has the same declared λD (0,034) and fire resistance class A1 as the B-040, but offers increased density for more demanding sound insulation and mechanical strength — and available from as little as 30 mm. At ARGYNET, we select either B-040 or B-050 and the appropriate facing for each application, with system-level documentation.
Overview
Key Features
- Excellent thermal insulation — declared λD = 0.034 W/(mK)
- Non-combustible material — reaction to fire A1 (EN 13501-1) with high fire resistance
- High sound absorption & sound insulation — αw = 1.00 (Class A), NRC = 0.95
- Denser structure — increased mechanical stability & durability
- Available from 30 mm to 300 mm
- Excellent vapour permeability (μ = 1) — dehumidification of structural elements & passive ventilation
- Water-repellent & non-hygroscopic (WS < 1 kg/m², WL(P) < 3 kg/m²)
- Fibre softening point > 1000 °C
- Natural, inorganic, odourless, recyclable (EUCEB certification)
Available coatings (on one side): AL (aluminium foil reinforced with glass fibre mesh) · AX (aluminium foil reinforced with glass fibre mesh) · YM (black glass fibre) · YA (white glass fibre) · XA (Kraft paper). The uncoated product complies with the stated technical specifications.
