U-section metal track — the perimeter profile of the dry construction framework. Manufactured to EN 14195, with a thickness of 0.6 mm that also complies with the stringent DIN 18182 T1 standard. It is the perfect match for the CW 50 stud.
Knauf UW-section profiles are installed around the perimeter (floor, ceiling, sides) and accommodate the vertical CW studs, forming the framework of the plasterboard wall. They are also used in free-hanging suspended ceilings.
Correct use & selection:
UW = perimeter track (guide). The CWs snap into it.
Pair of the same width: UW 50 → CW 50 (50 mm). Do not combine UW 50 with CW of a different width.
Rib thickness: 0.6 mm (DIN 18182 T1) — the professional standard as opposed to the economy 0.5 mm.
