Fibrous insulation

Description

Knauf Insulation’s Heraklith A2-C are non-combustible (A2-s1, d0) solid wood fibre boards with a mineral-based binder, in accordance with EN 13168. They combine excellent sound absorption, very high mechanical strength and provide an ideal base for render, in masonry, ceilings, partitions, floors and ventilated façades.

The ARGYNET View:

Heraklith A2-C is not a ‘thick’ thermal insulation material — it is a multi-purpose wood-fibre board: a robust, impact-resistant base for render, a sound-absorbing cladding and a permanent formwork that eliminates thermal bridges. With a compressive strength of ≥200 kPa and a fire rating of A2-s1,d0, it serves as a load-bearing or decorative surface. Where thermal insulation is also required, it is combined with stone wool or Tektalan composite panels.
