Knauf Dry Construction Plugs | Load Fixing & Suspension

Dry construction fixings, screws and accessories

Description

Two different applications, two families of fixings: those that secure the framework to the load-bearing structure (concrete/masonry) and those that support loads on the finished plasterboard. You’ll find both here.

Expansion anchors (nylon with a nail or metal) are used to fix tracks, studs and suspensions to concrete. Conversely, to suspend a load (shelf, television, cupboard) onto already installed plasterboard, special load-bearing plugs are required which expand/anchor behind the hollow panel.

Which anchor for which job:

Fixing a framework (tracks/studs/suspensions to concrete) → expansion anchors with a nail or metal anchors (DN-6).

Suspending loads on plasterboard (hollow wall) → metal plasterboard wall plugs: M6/58 for single-layer plasterboard, M6/71 for double-layer.

Select based on the substrate (solid vs hollow-core slab) and the load.
