Metal profiles for dry constructionDescription
The perimeter U-profile for suspended ceilings and wall cladding: it is fixed to the walls and defines the ‘frame’ within which the grid of CD ceiling tracks is installed. In accordance with EN 14195.
Knauf UD profiles are installed around the perimeter for the construction of suspended ceilings and wall cladding using plasterboard. At the point of connection with the walls, they are used in conjunction with CD 60×27 ceiling tracks. The thinner gauge (0.5 mm) is sufficient, as the load is borne by the CD tracks and the suspensions.
How it fits into the ceiling system:
UD → perimeter frame on the walls.
CD 60×27 → grid resting on the UD and supporting the plasterboard.
Suspension brackets + connectors → for suspending and securing the grid.
