Description

High-density and specialised plasterboards require specialised screws: a standard screw will ‘slip’ or break against their hard core. Here you will find the correct screw for Diamant, Ultra Board, fibre-reinforced plasterboards and perforated boards.

High-density boards (Diamant, Ultra Board) and fibre-reinforced plasterboards have a much harder core than standard plasterboard. The 3.9 mm XTN/XTB screws are reinforced to ensure reliable fastening without breaking, whilst Vidin screws are designed for fibre-reinforced plasterboard and SN screws for fixing perforated (acoustic) panels.

Which screw for which board:

Diamant / Ultra Board (high-density) → XTN 3.9 (pointed) or XTB 3.9 (self-tapping).

Fibre-reinforced plasterboard (Vidiwall) → Vidin.

Perforated acoustic boards (Cleaneo Akustik) → SN 3.5×30.

Standard plasterboard → TN/TB screws (see relevant page).
